Denver, CO – A major anti-government protest is planned for Aug. 2 at the Capitol. Officials expect 8,000 to 20,000 attendees under the “Rage Against the Regime” banner.
Kill Devil Hills, NC – One person was killed and another wounded at Avalon Fishing Pier. Suspect arrested.
Colorado Springs, CO – ICE agents opened fire after a vehicle attempted to ram them. Two suspects escaped.
Arkansas – Double homicide of hikers at Devil’s Den State Park. Suspect Andrew McGann confessed.
Georgia – Four suspects arrested after a father and daughter were attacked while fishing at Low Gap Campground. Daughter stabbed attackers in self-defense.

Boise, ID – High winds caused a power outage affecting 2,985 residents.
Hawaii – Red Flag warnings prompted Hawaiian Electric to consider Public Safety Power Shutoffs. Residents using electric medical devices were urged to prepare.
No known rail, telecom, pipeline, or port outages reported.
